How to Use Tea Infusers

Tea infusers are one of the most important things a tea drinker should have. It is used to steep loose tea leaves and comes in various shapes, sizes, and materials.

To use one, simply add loose tea leaves inside your infuser. Place it in a cup of hot water, time the brew, and you’ll have your tea. Don’t forget to clean it properly before and after use.

How To Steep Loose‑Leaf Tea

  • Boil water in a tea kettle.
  • Add an appropriate amount of loose tea leaves in your infuser and put it into your teapot or mug. Double the amount of loose tea leaves when making iced tea for better flavor.
  • Pour boiled water over your tea infuser into your teapot or cup.
  • Time your tea. Take note that different types of tea need to be steeped in various temperatures and times, so look up what is suggested for the tea you are using.
  • Serve in your favorite mug or pour over ice, and enjoy your tea!
  • Add milk and whipped cream or foam for a delicious tea latte!

How To Make Iced Tea

  • Decide what type of tea you are using. Green tea and several stronger teas bring out the best flavor when iced.
  • Brew your tea.
  • For a hot brew, double the tea you’re using, steep it like usual, and pour over ice.
  • For a cold brew, place a regular amount of loose-leaf tea in cold water and put it in the fridge overnight.
  • Enhance your tea's flavor. You can add flavored syrup, fruits, or anything suitable for your tea.
